Express lanes(1) in each direction are to be added and the completion date is 2015. They are not going to be taking down any homes or structures but this will be a toll based system that charges variable rates depending on the time of day and amount of traffic. There will be 7 miles of sound walls put up that will range in size from 8-20′. This will take place from South of 2222 to downtown. They are also discussing an express lane that would only allow access at 2222, Parmer and 1st street. this is in process and will start soon.

They are beginning the discussions and it may start in 2016 and will not be all done until 2022. They will do some ‘innovative intersections’ such as the infamous MI left turn in some spots but this is not going to done for awhile.

Express lanes with tolls as like MOPAC being considered. In process but no date given at this time.
